Basic tax rate

In fiscal year 2016-17, the small business tax rate was reduced to 27.5%. The definition of a small business is an annual turnover of less than $10,000,000 Australian dollars, and the corporate structure is a company, a unit trust fund or a publicly traded trust fund.

Other companies not in the above range will maintain a 30% tax rate.
